Job description

Job Title: Assembler
Job Description

This role focuses on frame assembly of foam structures used in shipping doors. You will work in a fast-paced production environment, assembling, packaging, and preparing foam frames to meet daily output goals while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble foam frames used in shipping doors according to production specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform frame assembly tasks including packaging, cutting, bagging, and folding materials to prepare finished products for shipment.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to add and securely fasten brackets to foam structures.
  • Read and follow basic blueprints, drawings, or work instructions to complete mechanical assembly tasks accurately.
  • Measure and cut materials using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions.
  • Work collaboratively in teams of 2–4 people to coordinate tasks and maintain an efficient assembly flow.
  • Meet or exceed the production target of approximately 60 frames per day while maintaining consistent quality.
  • Follow all safety procedures when using hand and power tools and operating within the production line.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, or safety.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of production experience working on a production line or similar setting.
  • Proficiency using hand tools for assembly and fastening tasks.
  • Proficiency using power tools safely and effectively for mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to perform mechanical assembly work, including adding and securing brackets to structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, or work instructions.
