Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to maximize the learning experience of students with special needs, in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing students' specific needs; providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
Essential Job Function
  • Provide interpretation to transliteration in the educational setting.
  • Provide interpretation to transliteration within the school setting outside of the classroom
  • Act as a member of the educational team.
  • Adhere to the RID Interpreter Code of Ethics.
  • Assist with other duties assigned.
Equipment
Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, calculator, and telephone.
Travel Requirements
Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Pay Rate
$24.15 per hour.
Work Schedule
6.75 hours per day
180 days per year.
