Job Summary/Description:
We are seeking a well-qualified, passionate, and goal-driven Director of Spanish Language Media Sales for Telemundo Atlanta (WKTB). This media professional will be working from our Brookhaven offices and will be dedicated to growing broadcast and digital revenue through direct client and agency relationships while managing a team of media executives.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare and present accurate and comprehensive sales presentations.
- Create clear and concise media plans that detail specifically the products being utilized throughout the month, quarter, and year.
- Look for opportunities to develop monetization solutions for clients and ensure clients are receiving "best in class" customer service in a timely manner.
- Personally develop and close new business broadcast and digital accounts
- Experience with creating/executing successful sales workflow processes.
- Knowledge and experience with Hispanic media ad sales and establishing close business relationships with Local/National advertising agencies and clients.
- The ability to provide Hispanic sales training to local sales AEs and assist in closing and maintaining business, while being able to seek out new local direct accounts.
- Candidates should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenges simultaneously.
- Achieve all monthly and quarterly budgets/KPI's set by sales management.
- Target and close new business prospects for Broadcast and Digital/OTT advertising sales.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and local/national agencies by identifying clients' advertising needs and developing customized solutions to meet those needs.
- Experience with non-traditional revenue (i.e., event sponsorships, franchise sponsorships, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with local sales teams and management to ensure accurate generation of revenue tracking reports, pending deals, forecasts, advertisers, contacts, and prospect lists.
- Work with internal departments to manage account stewardship through the process.
- Prepare weekly /monthly /annual sales activity reports keep the client database up to date by recording all activities, transactions, and communications with clients.
- Lead/Attend sales meetings, training sessions and client meetings, and promotions.
- Understand and communicate the resources, products, and capabilities of all of Gray Broadcasting's assets.
- Maintain and track an accurate forecast by account at all times.
- Bring a high energy level, ambition, intensity, and long-term perspective to be a core part of building something genuinely significant over time.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Hispanic experience working with clients and local agencies for TV and digital advertising sales.
- A successful track record of driving new business through both client direct and agency relationships
- A history of experience selling live sports/OTO special sponsorship campaigns to key multimarket clients in advance.
- Experience in selling in show integrations on a local and potentially State/regional level.
- Multi-platform media sales expertise in selling broadcast TV in combination with digital media to drive client results.
- Relationship builder with an engaging and energetic personality and a desire to contribute to the team to win.
- Goal-driven and self-motivated individual who challenges self to exceed targets.
- Ability and experience selling multi-platform advertising programs that include Radio, TV, Digital, Social, and Influencer marketing.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong written, presentation, marketing, and closing skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Wide Orbit, Matrix, as well as MS Office products: MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
