Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry position requiring a compact or OK RN license and at least 2 years of telemetry experience.

Details
  • Work in a 29-bed cardiac telemetry unit within a Level I trauma center serving patients of all ages
  • Unit manages med-surg patients including those requiring cardiac telemetry monitoring
  • Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
  • Unit supported by PCTs, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs for telemetry patients
  • Day shift schedule from 06:30 to 19:00
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
  • Holiday coverage required based on department needs
Requirements
  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current BLS certification from the AHA
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient condition
