Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Telemetry (Day Shift)
Location: Sparks, NV (89434)
Contract: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)
Shift: Days | 3 x 12-hour shifts
We are seeking a high-caliber Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract at our facility in Sparks, Nevada. This role is designed for a clinician who balances technical expertise with a compassionate approach, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and acute medical intervention.
Core Responsibilities
In this role, you will serve as a vital link between technology and patient recovery. Your duties include:
  • Comprehensive Assessment: Conducting initial and ongoing assessments, including full review of systems and admission documentation within established timeframes.
  • Clinical Excellence: Delivering competent, efficient care by interpreting patient data and determining appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Life Span Awareness: pplying knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care for a diverse patient population.
  • Holistic Advocacy: Fulfilling the needs of patients, families, and the community in strict accordance with licensure and regulatory standards.
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Licensure:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of full-time Med/Surg Telemetry experience in an cute care setting .
  • Licensure: Must hold a current Nevada state nursing license or a valid Compact/Multistate license .
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Compliance: Must successfully pass all facility-required pre-employment assessments.
Certifications:
  • CLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Travel Requirement:
  • Radius Rule: Candidates must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility to be eligible for this contract.
