Job description

Summary

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting, cold calling and closing new waste and recycling service accounts within the assigned territory. The Sales Representative will provide effective communication by explaining services and benefits of those services to prospecting clients. The Sales Representative will report directly to the Sales Manager.

Job Description

  • Presents and sells company services to potential clients.

  • Prepares action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to identify new leads.

  • Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.

  • Identifies sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.

  • Prepares presentations, proposals and sales contracts.

  • Prepares paperwork to activate new services and documents activity in our Customer Relationship Management tool.

  • Develops and implements special sales activities to increase sales.

  • Participates in marketing events such chamber of commerce events, trade shows, and telemarketing events.

  • Proactively communicates with other departments like finance, operations, collections, and customer service.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • Valid Driver's License

  • 4+ years' experience in sales and experience with cold calling.

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.

  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Bilingual (Spanish)

  • Waste and/or Transportation experience

Salary: $68,640.00 plus uncapped commission

Schedule:Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
