Telehandler – Yard amp; Cleanup Support
NORTHEAST PRECAST – Vineland, NJ
Start Time: 6:00 AM - 4 PM
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Overview
Northeast Precast (NEP) is seeking a skilled Telehandler Operator to support outdoor yard operations and cleanup activities.
This position plays a key role in keeping our site organized, safe, and efficient by handling materials, moving equipment, and coordinating with production and cleanup teams.
Work is performed mostly outdoors, operating a telehandler or forklift in a busy yard environment. Clear communication and awareness are essential for this role — you’ll be in constant coordination with supervisors, truck drivers, and labor crews throughout the day.

Job Description
The Telehandler Operator is responsible for supporting daily yard operations, assisting cleanup crews, and keeping traffic lanes and storage areas organized.
You’ll help move materials, bins, and scrap efficiently while staying in close communication with other departments to avoid interference and maintain safety.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate telehandlers, forklifts, safely and efficiently
  2. Move scrap bins, pallets, and debris from work areas to designated locations
  3. Assist cleanup crews by staging and removing materials during daily housekeeping
  4. Coordinate movements with truck drivers, yard supervisors, and production crews
  5. Maintain constant communication by radio/cell and hand signals when working around others
  6. Perform pre-use inspections and report equipment issues promptly
  7. Keep traffic lanes and work zones clear, organized, and safe
  8. Follow all posted safety requirements and PPE standards
  9. Assist with light labor or cleanup tasks when equipment is idle

Position Type / Expected Hours
Full-time, permanent position
Start time: 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday
Overtime may be required depending on production and shipping schedules

Qualifications
  1. Valid driver’s license required
  2. 2+ years of experience operating a telehandler or forklift in construction or manufacturing
  3. Strong communication skills , must coordinate clearly and respectfully with others
  4. Ability to work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions
  5. Reliable, safety-focused, and self-motivated
  6. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work as needed
  7. Certification preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate
