Job description

This position supports our customer's nationwide TSCM program with strategic and operational support across various locations, providing essential contributions to safeguarding classified and sensitive information from foreign and domestic threats. This initiative offers an opportunity to contribute to national security through cutting-edge technical and security-focused roles.
The Telecommunications Specialist will apply analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills while working with technical, functional, and management personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience with COMSEC Type 1 Keys and associated equipment, as well as hands-on knowledge of STE installation, repair, upgrades, troubleshooting, and destruction of Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI). Experience with NSA-approved Key Management Systems (KMS) and related equipment is required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an activeTop Secret/DOE Q clearance with SCI eligibility.
Contingent upon award of Contract.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage, administer, maintain, and secure telecommunications equipment supporting COMSEC operations
  • Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair secure telecommunications devices, including STEs and associated CCI
  • Interface and integrate secure telecommunications equipment with local classified and unclassified network operations
  • Detect, diagnose, report, and resolve issues with hardware and software supporting secure communications
  • Assist with COMSEC audits, inspections, inventories, and training as required
  • Ensure operations and equipment comply with national COMSEC policies and procedures

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of four (4) years of specialized experience with Type 1 Key management and secure telecommunications/COMSEC equipment, or relevant Federal Government experience with applicable certifications
  • Hands-on experience with NSA-approved Key Management Systems (KMS)
  • Knowledge of secure telecommunications installation, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline preferred but not required
