Job Description

We are seeking a Telecommunications Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in communication device provisioning, inventory control, asset lifecycle management, and basic hardware troubleshooting and a proven ability to support end-to-end operations for paging and related communication equipment across a large enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, program, configure, test, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, track, and retire paging devices and related communication equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and asset accountability for devices supporting clinical and operational staff.
  • Perform daily provisioning, inventory control, repair, distribution, shipping, receiving, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Process returned devices, complete functional testing and quality reviews, perform minor repairs, and prepare equipment for redeployment.
  • Fulfill device requests and coordinate shipments to enterprise locations in Minnesota, Arizona, Florida, and Wisconsin.
  • Monitor inventory levels and utilization, conduct audits, and ensure accurate documentation in asset tracking systems.
  • Assist with equipment replacement programs, device refresh, and disposal in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues, coordinate escalations, maintain operational documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage inventory within established processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and asset tracking or inventory management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and independently manage assigned responsibilities.
  • Adaptability in a changing work environment with effective task prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Basic troubleshooting and hardware support skills, including routine maintenance and minor device repairs.
  • Ability to coordinate resolution of complex technical issues and uphold service excellence.
  • Education: High School diploma/GED and two years of related experience in telecommunications, technology support, inventory management, logistics, or asset management, or an Associate's degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting healthcare communication systems.
  • Background with paging systems, telecommunications equipment, wireless communication devices, or mobile device management.
  • Experience in inventory control, asset lifecycle management, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations.
  • Hands-on experience with device configuration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using enterprise asset management or inventory tracking systems.
