Job description

Title: Information Technology (IT) Management / IT Project Coordination Support
Location: Falls Church, VA
Status: Full Time

Position Summary:
MSPS is looking to hire an Information Technology (IT) Management / IT Project Coordination Support professional. This position provides information technology planning, infrastructure coordination, telecommunications management, and project support services for Defense Health Agency (DHA) Facilities Enterprise healthcare construction and modernization projects. The selected candidate will support the planning, design, construction, activation, commissioning, and transition of military healthcare facilities by ensuring successful integration of DHA information technology, telecommunications, and operational technology systems. This position serves as a liaison among DHA Information Management/Information Technology personnel, facility stakeholders, NAVFAC, USACE, architects, engineers, vendors, and contractors. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide IT planning and project coordination support for healthcare facility construction and modernization projects.
  • Coordinate DHA information technology infrastructure requirements throughout planning, design, construction, and activation phases.
  • Review telecommunications, network, audiovisual, cybersecurity, and technology infrastructure designs for compliance with DHA requirements.
  • Coordinate with DHA IT personnel, healthcare stakeholders, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors regarding technology requirements and implementation.
  • Monitor technology-related project schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Participate in design reviews, construction meetings, commissioning activities, activation planning, and occupancy readiness efforts.
  • Assist with implementation of telecommunications systems, network infrastructure, wireless technologies, audiovisual systems, and related facility technologies.
  • Support technology migration planning, cutover activities, testing, training, and operational readiness efforts.
  • Track and coordinate technology-related Requests for Information (RFIs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and issue resolution activities.
  • Assist with development of integrated project schedules and project tracking tools.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
  • Maintain project records and documentation in accordance with DHA requirements.
  • Frequent collaboration with DHA IT personnel, healthcare stakeholders, contractors, architects, engineers, and Government personnel.
  • Periodic travel to military treatment facilities, project sites, and active construction environments.
  • Review technical drawings, technology plans, schedules, and specifications.
  • Conduct facility assessments, technology site surveys, and construction walkthroughs.
  • Review detailed technical documentation and technology plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Industry Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting healthcare facility technology or telecommunications projects.
  • Experience supporting hospitals, clinics, medical campuses, or healthcare systems.
  • Preferred experience supporting NAVFAC and/or USACE medical facility projects.
  • Experience supporting planning, design, construction, activation, or transition activities associated with facility-based technology systems.
  • Knowledge of DHA healthcare technology infrastructure requirements preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of healthcare information technology infrastructure, telecommunications systems, and network architecture.
  • Familiarity with DHA information technology environments and healthcare technology standards.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling systems, network infrastructure, telecommunications rooms, audiovisual systems, wireless systems, and related technologies.
  • Understanding of healthcare operational requirements and technology integration challenges.
  • Ability to review technology drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with project management, scheduling, and collaboration tools.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and federal information assurance requirements.
  • Strong project coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.

Certifications/Licenses/Other
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain any required credentials, clearances, licenses, or authorizations associated with the worksite or contract.

Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based within DHA Facilities Enterprise offices located in Falls Church, Virginia.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
