Position Summary:

The Technology Manager, Engineering & Telecommunications is a technology leadership role within the Technology department responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, operational reliability, and engineering of enterprise network and telecommunications infrastructure across Elite Casino Resorts, LLC properties. This position reports directly to the Technology Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations and operates under the strategic guidance of the Vice President, Technology.

This role is responsible for supporting enterprise networking infrastructure, telecommunications systems, WAN/LAN connectivity, wireless infrastructure, firewall platforms, VPN technologies, internet services, voice communications systems, and operational connectivity services required to maintain organizational operations, regulatory compliance, operational continuity, and business-critical technology functions within a multi-property gaming and hospitality environment.

The Technology Manager, Engineering & Telecommunications provides operational leadership for network engineering initiatives, telecommunications support operations, approved infrastructure deployment efforts, vendor coordination, connectivity management, and operational support activities while ensuring enterprise network services remain stable, secure, scalable, and operationally effective across all Elite Casino Resorts properties.

This position serves as the operational lead for enterprise network engineering and telecommunications support activities while coordinating closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, applications, and technology management teams.

This position operates within enterprise technology standards, policies, governance frameworks, and strategic direction established by technology leadership.

The role requires a highly collaborative leader capable of balancing day-to-day operational support responsibilities, infrastructure troubleshooting, telecommunications administration, project coordination, vendor management, operational continuity initiatives, and long-term infrastructure lifecycle planning across multiple properties while maintaining a strong focus on operational reliability, compliance, resiliency, and service delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leads enterprise network engineering, telecommunications administration, operational support, troubleshooting, and approved infrastructure deployment initiatives across all Elite Casino Resorts properties.
  • Oversees the administration, configuration, maintenance, support, monitoring, and operational performance of enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, wireless systems, firewalls, telecommunications platforms, VPN connectivity, switching infrastructure, routing infrastructure, ISP connectivity, and voice systems.
  • Manages and coordinates operational support activities for network engineers, network administrators, telecommunications personnel, vendors, carriers, and support providers.
  • Assists with enterprise network architecture planning, infrastructure modernization, telecommunications upgrades, carrier coordination, firewall administration, wireless deployments, and operational continuity initiatives.
  • Functions as the senior escalation point for enterprise networking issues, telecommunications incidents, internet outages, carrier coordination, firewall concerns, VPN connectivity issues, and network troubleshooting activities.
  • Implements and maintains approved network security configurations, segmentation standards, firewall policies, and remote access technologies in coordination with cybersecurity leadership and technology leadership.
  • Coordinates with operational departments, surveillance, gaming systems, hospitality systems, vendors, and technology teams to ensure reliable and secure network communications across all business functions.
  • Ensures network reliability, operational continuity, telecommunications availability, infrastructure redundancy, and adherence to organizational technology standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with evaluating new networking technologies, telecommunications platforms, wireless solutions, carrier services, and operational infrastructure improvements while providing recommendations to the Technology Director.
  • Coordinates operational support activities with ISPs, telecommunications vendors, carriers, and related service providers.
  • Supervises assigned personnel including mentoring, workload coordination, training, project oversight, operational support activities, and performance management.
  • Assists with disaster recovery planning, business continuity initiatives, infrastructure failover planning, network redundancy strategies, and operational resilience efforts.
  • Coordinates infrastructure deployment projects including switching, routing, wireless infrastructure, telecommunications systems, structured cabling standards, and operational communications technologies.
  • Maintains operational documentation including network diagrams, telecommunications inventories, carrier documentation, configuration standards and operational procedures established by technology leadership.
  • Prepares operational reports, project updates, outage summaries, vendor coordination documentation, and infrastructure status reporting for technology leadership.
  • Participates in change management processes, maintenance planning, operational governance initiatives, and enterprise technology planning efforts.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering or telecommunications experience within a complex operational environment.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of technology leadership or management experience preferred.

  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications required.

  • Strong experience supporting enterprise switching, routing, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, telecommunications systems, carrier services, and WAN connectivity.

  • Experience with Cisco, Meraki, VMware networking, or equivalent enterprise technologies preferred.

  • Experience within gaming, hospitality, or multi-site operational environments preferred.

Additional requirements include:

  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking principles, telecommunications infrastructure, wireless technologies, routing, switching, firewall administration, VPN technologies, and operational connectivity standards.

  • Strong understanding of network security concepts, segmentation strategies, operational resiliency, and infrastructure redundancy.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience supporting business-critical operational environments with high uptime requirements.

  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
