Job description

Join our team as a Telecommunication Field Technician, supporting critical utility and telecom infrastructure projects through accurate field data collection and analysis. AMSYS is a leader delivering innovative and reliable solutions across digital network systems. In this role, you will support fielding activities that ensure safe, efficient design, permitting, and project execution.
What You'll Do:
  • Perform field visits, inspections, and data collection at utility and telecom locations
  • Collect accurate data for permits, easements, and right-of-way documentation
  • Identify pole attachments and interpret field notes, maps, schematics, and drawings
  • Provide on-site technical support to customers and end users
  • Interact professionally with clients, property owners, contractors, and developers
  • Traverse challenging or remote terrain to complete field assignments
  • Collaborate with internal teams and other divisions to support project needs
  • Follow all safety guidelines and always ensure proper use of PPE
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, including service reports, job documentation, time tracking, mileage, and materials used
  • Produce clear, timely, and accurate field documentation and correspondence of accurate data.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of previous experience in telecommunications and/or electrical utilities capturing field data

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge in handling tools, equipment, and instruments required for installation, maintenance, for field data collection

  • Knowledge of easements and right of ways
  • Skill to be a problem solver with identifying and diagnosing technical issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently while also being a reliable team player
  • Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting equipment
  • Ability to travel to different client sites and work in various environments and locations
