Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Field Engineer in Fayetteville, GA. The Field Engineer is responsible for supporting the technical execution and quality assurance of structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all installations meet design specifications through rigorous testing, site audits, and the maintenance of accurate project documentation such as redlines and as-built drawings.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30 to $40 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and verify Fluke test results for fiber and copper installations.
  • Troubleshoot fiber optic and structured cabling systems to resolve connectivity issues.
  • Produce and maintain accurate redline drawings and butterfly drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct audit verifications after project completion to ensure 100% alignment between field installs and project prints.
  • Check and verify that all infrastructure, including build-outs and cabling, is installed to design specifications.
  • Oversee the RFI process and ensure all design changes are incorporated into final documentation before QA review.
  • Maintain project calendars and track deadlines to ensure timely delivery of all technical milestones.
  • Coordinate with installation teams to provide necessary labels and project-specific documentation.
  • Participate in project brainstorming to identify and resolve recurring quality or design challenges.
  • Gather and organize warranty information and product submittals for final project processing.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience in commercial low-voltage or structured cabling environments.
  • Strong technical proficiency in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and complex project documents.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair issues with both new installs and existing equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Fluke meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces or overhead pathways.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and construction site environments.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in loud environments and around dust or fumes common to construction sites.

Pay Transparency:
