Job description

Our client is looking for a Structural Engineer that will interface with clients, develop schematic and final designs, coordinate with in-house disciplines, and lead design efforts across various projects while mentoring staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate company core values internally and externally
  • Mentor project team members
  • Oversee daily workflow of project staff

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work on multiple project teams to successfully complete projects
  • Develop designs through all project phases
  • Prepare studies, reports, and construction documents
  • Design building materials and systems
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Oversee drawing production, specifications, and documentation
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines (MEP, etc.)
  • Conduct field surveys and site evaluations
  • Perform construction administration (RFIs, submittals, inspections)
  • Manage budgets and schedules
  • Handle multiple simultaneous projects
  • Collaborate with leadership on organizational goals
  • Recommend new technologies and improvements
  • Ensure alignment with company vision and client expectations
  • Perform IBC code reviews and establish design criteria
  • Review shop drawings and prepare reports
  • Prepare AIA Masterspec documents and estimates
