Data Solutions Architect

Position: Data Solutions Architect

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect & Engineer Solutions: Design and produce data solutions and automated information products that support continual experimentation and assessments using Army tools such as AZURE (T2COM Cloud/C-Army/Advantage), VANTAGE, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Power Automate, and Microsoft 365.
  • Operationalize AI/ML: Develop AI agents that can rapidly search multiple databases and other sources and present critical customer information in the format desired, such as Common Operating Pictures, live dashboards, ongoing tactical operations, automated reports, and capability performance assessments for JMC leadership and staff at every level.
  • Dashboard & Analytics Development: Partner with JMC staff teams to develop dashboards and predictive analytics in SharePoint (NIPR/SIPR), Power BI, Python, or other appropriate tools.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Establish and enforce governance, lineage, and quality standards that drive authoritative, trusted data for decision-making.
  • Integration & Federation: Plan, design, and implement ingestion of diverse external data sources, ensuring interoperability across multiple Army environments and enterprise systems.
  • Security & Compliance: Champion OPSEC, IA, and PII safeguards in all workflows, aligning with DoD and Army enterprise architecture standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data/Information Systems, Math, or related field (Master's preferred). Equivalent experience may substitute.
  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years leading or engineering enterprise data/analytics platforms
  • 3โ€“5+ years in ETL, data wrangling, and data pipeline development

Travel

10-15% a year to CONUS and OCONUS locations

Salary

$140-145k

Experience:

  • VANTAGE: 5 years (Required)
  • Azure: 5 years (Required)
  • SharePoint(NIPR/SIPR): 5 years (Required)
