Job description

Project Manager Budget Telecom Engineering
 
Note: Must be authorised and willing to work on W2. Can't do C2C or 1099.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of the engineering team and working with the various real estate, transport, and construction teams to accurately forecast and drive budget activities.
Responsibilities:
Manage capital budgets for the engineering team, including daily tracking of available budget, spend, commitments, and tracking towards monthly targets.
Prepare periodic financial reports and present budget updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Forecast monthly spend using run rates and project forecasts. Determine any budget deltas from forecast at the end of the month and summarize the reasons for the business.
Drive invoicing and spend to meet or exceed the forecasted monthly spend.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Manage budget adjustments to accommodate shifting budgetary needs throughout the year.
Periodic tracking of unit costs per program and identifying any significant deltas from budgeted numbers.
Send periodic reports on overall and monthly POR and budget status.
Ensure projects are properly placed in service to keep market WIP to a minimum.
Track and forecast expense spend for the market.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in project management and budget control, preferably in an engineering environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial analytics tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
