Job Title : Telecom Project Manager

Duration : 12+ Months

Location : Basking Ridge 

Visa Status : US Citizen, GC, EAD (ONLY W2)


Responsibilities: 

The Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) will work closely with the Verizon Wireless Business Transformation (BT)Units and the Portfolio Management to ensure successful execution and delivery of efforts in the BT funnel. The Sr PM will be responsible for a program of projects that are defined within the Business Transformational group. Sr. PM Manages programs/projects within an Agile project management methodology to ensure successful on time delivery according to specification. Identifies and engages necessary internal and external resources to support projects, programs and EPICs. Works closely with EPIC team members and Subject Matter experts to ensure deliverables follow Agile methodology. Sr PM looks for opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures to increase the efficiency of the organization. Ensures success factors are clearly documented and communicated for products / services for post launch assessment. Ensures that stories for the business are robust, complete, and functionally comprehensive. Tracks, reviews and drives activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specific project objectives. Prepares project/program reports for senior management. 

Leads BT projects that require working with large teams and management of multiple stakeholders 

Project manage services / platform developments

Present updates to VP and Director levels

Identify and successfully manage risks and issues

Resolves resource conflicts 

Captures, communicates and works with team to resolve risks/issues. Escalates as needed. 

Provides information on project/ program health / metrics / status to EPIC stakeholders and leadership 



Qualifications

Qualifications 

Bachelor's degree (Business/Finance or Technical field). MBA, MS preferred 

Agile, PMP certification or project management master degree preferred 

5+ years program/project management experience required

5+ years of management experience

Minimum 7 years wireless experience 

Demonstrated track record of accomplishments 

Strong knowledge of Program Management & Project Management practices

Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Project and MS Office

Expert knowledge of Project management Institute skills 

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Capable of assimilating a broad range of project inputs, and clearly and distinctly communicate overall project status tailored to a variety of audiences, including executive management 

Demonstrated exceptional influence skills, and able to influence individuals across all functional organizations and at all levels.

Highly collaborative, able to produce high quality result in high-pressure situations and a dynamic environment 

Demonstrated ability to work with Senior Executives and Project Team members to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of programs and projects 

Strong knowledge of Agile methodology 

Demonstrates sense of urgency and drives participation, to integrate people effectively into matrix teams, to work cross-functionally and across multiple levels of management, and to work issues/risk to successful resolution.
