Job description

This long-term project offers full-time salary plus overtime pay, great benefits packages, paid vacation, sick and holiday leave. Or we can offer W2 hourly without the benefits.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage equipment tracking and documentation for legacy equipment removal and new equipment installation across two dedicated cages (fiber jumped between cages). Perform and oversee cross-connects and physical infrastructure changes.
  • Coordinate recovery, documentation, and secure destruction of decommissioned equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment location, status, and transition progress.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, planning engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activities comply with data center standards, safety protocols, and client requirements.
 
Required Experience & Skills
  • Hands-on experience in data center operations (Equinix, DRT, or similar environments strongly preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of telecom network infrastructure, fiber connectivity, and data center build/renovation processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex rip-and-replace or migration projects.
  • Excellent customer relationship, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Data center lingo and operational fluency required.
  • Huawei is nice to have
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with equipment recovery, destruction, and chain-of-custody processes.
