Position Summary:

Matilda Cloud is now seeking a Head of Finance to build and lead the finance function as the business continues to scale. Reporting to the CEO, this person will be a key leader in the business with a high degree of visibility to the board. Finance is a critical lever for Matilda Cloud and this person will be a key driver of the businesses continued success.

Responsibilities:
  • Build the finance function from scratch, establishing core processes, controls, and systems
  • Develop comprehensive FP&A capabilities to drive strategic decision-making across the organization
  • Set up robust accounting operations ensuring compliance, accuracy, and scalability
  • Manage cash and the Order to cash process to ensure timely receipt of collections, and accurate forecasting of cash position
  • Create financial reporting frameworks for both internal stakeholders and external investors
  • Establish budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with company objectives
  • Design and implement the financial technology stack to support our growth trajectory
  • Partner with leadership to drive business performance and strategic initiatives
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team as the organization grows
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure business health and SaaS performance
Qualifications:
  • Experience helping to build a finance function in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software company
  • Strong foundation in both accounting and FP&A, with the ability to toggle between strategic and operational finance
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams
  • Expertise in implementing financial systems and technology to support scaling organizations
  • Strategic mindset with ability to translate financial insights into business recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambiguity.
