Wireline Telecom Financial Analyst - WidePoint Integrated Solutions Corp.- Columbus, OH - Hybrid

We are looking for a highly motivated Wireline Telecom Financial Analyst located in Columbus, OH that can operate in a fast-paced and demanding start-up like environment of a micro-cap publicly-traded company.

Position Summary
The Wireline Telecom Financial Analyst performs audits of WidePoint's Wireline Telecom financial and information systems, assessing compliance with applicable standards and guidelines and the sufficiency of internal controls. The Analyst specializes in auditing invoices and contracts to ensure the correct rate is being billed and that all the possible contract incentives are obtained. In addition, the Analyst supports inventory management by validating telecom assets, services, and inventory records to ensure accuracy, accountability, and alignment with financial and contractual documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Audits WidePoint's financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency.
· Audits WidePoint's information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements.
· Audits invoices and contracts to ensure the correct rate is billed and all applicable contract incentives are obtained.
· Maintains and audits wireline telecom inventory records, validating circuits, services, assets, and associated documentation to ensure inventory accuracy and alignment with financial records, contracts, and customer requirements.
· Reviews internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness.
· Drafts and presents reports of findings and analysis; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to accounting practices and procedures.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
The minimum qualifications include:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent on job experience.
· Knowledge of Wireline Telecommunication billing a plus.
· Knowledge of general financial accounting, reporting, and accounting software.
· Knowledge of information systems security.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
