Our client, a Fortune 30 retail organization, is seeking a Telecom Solutions Engineer to join their team. As a Telecom Solutions Engineer, you will be part of the Enterprise Infrastructure organization supporting Telecom Engineering, Network Operations, and Cross-Functional Technology teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Telecom Solutions Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite 5 Days per Week)
Type: W2 contract

What’s the Job?

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise telecom infrastructure solutions with a focus on availability, scalability, disaster recovery, security, and monitoring.
  • Serve as a technical leader for telecom engineering initiatives, establishing standards, best practices, and operational procedures.
  • Support and troubleshoot complex voice and telecom environments involving SIP, VoIP, RTP, networking, QoS, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver secure and scalable telecommunications solutions.
  • Develop engineering documentation and drive continuous improvements through automation, process optimization, and technology modernization.
What’s Needed?
  • Experience supporting enterprise telecom environments with strong expertise in SIP, VoIP, RTP, and telephony technologies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience within voice and data networking environments, including packet captures, SIP traces, QoS, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of cloud services, telecom infrastructure best practices, and operational support.
  • Experience with IVR platforms, contact center technologies, data integrations, and REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Linux, SQL databases, and infrastructure security practices.
