Job description

Overview
Kimley-Horn' Cumming, GA team is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing Telecom team. Must be willing to travel. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design for telecommunications, buildings, and rooftop structures
  • Assist in preparing engineering calculations, reports, and construction drawings
  • Support design tasks related to tower modifications, equipment upgrades, and reinforcement projects
  • Utilize industry software such as RISA, tnxTower, AutoCAD, or similar tools for modeling and drafting
  • Must be willing to travel and conduct field inspections and site visits to evaluate existing structures and gather data
  • Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, on-time designs
  • Assist with development of construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation
  • Apply knowledge of codes, standards, and client requirements in design work
  • Participate in internal training, mentorship, and professional development programs

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • 1+ years of experience in structural engineering or related infrastructure
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to perform field work/site visits
