Job Overview

PAE is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technology Engineer to join our team in a professional hybrid office environment in New York. This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities across telecom, audiovisual, security, and healthcare technology systems.

Responsibilities
  • Work within a team environment to ensure client standards are met and technology systems are incorporated into the overall system design.
  • Perform AutoCAD/Revit system design.
  • Complete assigned work on time with limited instruction from the project lead.
  • Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail.
  • Develop understanding of other disciplines.
  • Apply building codes and technology industry standards.
  • Contribute to site visits and prepare reports.
  • Assist with the design of telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare and other technology systems.
  • Perform room sizing, cable raceway capacity, sound pressure level, and visual display distance calculations.
  • Understand and read plans and specifications, and develop skills to edit/write specifications.
  • Engage with audiovisual, security and telecom vendors for product education and industry practices.
  • Implement the project quality management plan (QMP).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • College degree in discipline work, Technical Institute training preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 1–2 years of Technology Engineer 1 or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of technology systems design concepts with the ability to effectively communicate them.
  • Problem‑solving and analysis skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Knowledge of project phases.
  • Ability to delegate.
  • Clear communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Experience with calculation and performance simulation software such as iBwave wireless design, EASE acoustic simulation.
Salary & Benefits

Hiring Base Salary Range: $89,800–$109,700 annual. This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay. PAE offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes the following:
