Job Title: Cable Technician I

Location: Omaha, NE
Pay: $26.50-28/HR

Position Summary:

Anistar is seeking Cable Technicians for a long term opportunity to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pulling and routing CAT5e or CAT6 cable in a new construction environment
  • Pulling and installation of fiber optic cables 
  • Testing fiber optic cables with Fluke/Viavi tester 
  • Labeling fiber optic and copper cables 
  • Terminating data jacks
  • Installing support structures (ladder rack, fiber tray, basket tray)
  • Must be comfortable working from scissor/boom lifts 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 1+ years’ experience installing cables in a data center environment 
  • Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc.
  • Must be open to working Monday-Saturday up to 60 hours per week 
  • Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
