What you will do...
  • Install and terminate copper and fiber optic cabling for various applications like data networks, security systems, backbone, and ISP cabling
  • Perform cable testing using specialized equipment and ensure optimal signal quality
  • Document installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities accurately and concisely
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in various environments
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

Fiber Splicing & Installation
  • Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables
  • Prepare, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables in Data Center environments
  • Install and maintain fiber enclosures, splice cases, patch panels, and cabinets

Testing & Troubleshooting
  • Conduct testing using OTDRs, power meters, and light sources
  • OSP splicing and IOLM testing for 1310/1550
  • Analyze OTDR traces and troubleshoot signal loss, breaks, and faults
  • Ensure all splicing meets industry standards and client specifications

Project Execution
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and splice diagrams
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
  • Track materials, splicing logs, and production reports
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation

Quality Assurance
  • Maintain high standards for splice loss and overall network performance
  • Perform quality checks and final inspections before project closeout
  • Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and as-built records

What you will need to succeed...
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Low Voltage Technician or related field
  • Proven ability to terminate and test copper and fiber optic cabling
  • Must have a background in Fiber Splicing including overseeing fiber optic splicing operations
  • Must have experience with OSP splicing and IOLM testing for 1310/1550
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage systems and principles
  • Experience with network cabling, security systems, and audio/video systems is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be detail-oriented and quality-driven
  • Ability to lift heavy network equipment
  • Ability to perform work on a ladder
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Additional Information
