Function
The Campus Technology Technician is responsible for the on-site technology support of assigned District campuses.
Reports To:
Senior Campus LAN Manager
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in technology projects including installation, migration, configuration, upgrade, etc., of the District's technology equipment.
  • Provide network support, including installation of and maintenance of network hardware, software and systems.
  • Provide technical assistance on the use of PCs to school staff.
  • Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety procedures for school sites.
  • Assist the network users with problems they might encounter with the technology.
  • Improve customer understanding and productivity with technology.
  • Provide direction for appropriate usage of network resources.
  • Work with the LAN and WAN Specialists to analyze problem data.
  • Maintain appropriate records on services provided.
  • Assist with the Help Desk function when required.
  • Work with campus technology teams to provide appropriate student access to information tools.
  • Attend weekly professional development training as assigned by the Director for Technology Support Services.
  • Perform other technology-related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental/Physical Demands and Environmental Factors Conditions associated with installing and configuring computer networks. Lifting, moving, bending, kneeling, and crawling are frequently required. Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. District-wide travel; occasional out-of-District travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
