Essential Job Functions:
  • Organize daily or weekly work plans for each shift and ensure tasks are completed as scheduled.
  • Prioritize tasks and allocate resources to maximize benefits to the company.
  • Establish and uphold standards for safety, craftsmanship, and skill levels.
  • Collaborate with other departments in advance to minimize disruptions to facility operations.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of ongoing jobs by regularly inspecting work firsthand, rather than relying solely on secondhand reports.
  • Keep management informed about the maintenance department's performance and challenges.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed on time, within budget, and safely. Collaborate with job planners to understand and prepare for upcoming workloads.
  • Mentor maintenance teams, ensuring work is done correctly, and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Advocate for business process improvements, seeking smarter and more efficient ways to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Delegate urgent or unplanned tasks to appropriate team members and ensure their safe and effective completion.
  • Apply a strong understanding of hydraulics to maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems and equipment within the facility.
  • Exhibit ethical behavior and judgment, avoiding the management of family members, friends, or acquaintances.
  • Ensure that all team members, including yourself, follow safe work practices for every job and are properly trained in company policies before performing tasks.

Deliverables:
  • Timely completion and implementation of projects.
  • Achieve goals and objectives relating to cost and timing.
  • Achieve project expectation and requirements for all elements of PPAP, QS9000 and other elements relating to product launch.
  • Overall housekeeping of maintenance and production areas.
  • Efficient supply and distribution of utilities including water, steam, electricity, natural gas, compressed air and waste disposal.
    Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree with mechanical or electrical technology preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of related experience including supervisor in the maintenance area.
