We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individual to serve as positive role models for children and teenagers facing challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and other mental health needs.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about mentoring youth, building strong relationships, and helping children and families develop healthy strategies for long-term success.
Position Overview
As a Youth Support Mentor, you will work directly with children, teens, and families to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical behavioral support tailored to each individuals needs. You will play an important role in helping youth build confidence, improve behaviors, and strengthen emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and practical support strategies tailored to each child and family
  • Implement individualized plans designed to achieve specific behavioral and developmental goals
  • Build positive, supportive relationships that foster growth, trust, and emotional development
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to support each childs overall well-being
  • Maintain professionalism, consistency, and reliability in all interactions
  • Encourage positive coping skills, communication, and healthy social behaviors
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree (BA) required
  • 2 years of experience working with children or adolescents preferred
  • Background in behavioral strategies, childcare, special education, psychology, social work, or a related field
  • Strong mentoring, teaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of child welfare, behavioral health, and youth development practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and dependable in challenging situations
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday (primarily after-school hours)
  • Weekend availability as needed
Compensation
