We are looking for a Design Assistant to join our Ted Baker team. This is a full-time position that requires you to be in the office 5 days a week. This role is great for someone looking to grow their design career as we offer many advancement opportunities for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with design research, color, mood and concept
  • Using Procreate/Photoshop to CAD sketches with prints (something we can teach you, but proficiency is preferred!)
  • Working with designer to source trim and fabric for the collection
  • Setting up initial tech packs (designer handles most specs, but there is room for growth)
  • Set up seasonal "Maps" within the Centric PLM system
  • Update and manage "Maps" in Centric PLM after market in a timely manner, coordinating between sales and design and production to ensure all details are correct.
  • Setting up and organizing with the team
  • Attending meetings to take notes and help where needed

Requirements
  • Must have a degree in fashion design
  • Minimum 1+ years of design experience
  • Experience with Centric PLM system is a plus
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Ability to multi-task with many assignments at once
  • Adherence to strict deadlines
  • A great attitude for working in a team-oriented environment
  • A go-getter who is easily able to adapt in fast paced environments

The salary for this full-time role is $65,000 per year.
