Job Overview:
FOCUSPOINT is seeking an experienced AVP Technology Leader (Chief Technology Officer) for one of our healthcare clients based in Frisco, TX. This executive will be responsible for driving the vision, execution, and innovation behind a market-leading technology platform that supports spend visibility, benchmarking, and sourcing for healthcare provider supply chains. This role reports directly to the CEO.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, development, and performance of the organization’s technology platform.

  • Oversee product management and technical roadmap for the SaaS platform.

  • Manage and grow a high-performing team of engineers and QA analysts.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and resolve challenges.

  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software while maintaining scalability and security.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging AI and big data to enhance platform capabilities.

  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure capacity to meet growing demand.

  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and reviews.

  • Provide hands-on technical support and leadership, with an ability to understand and evaluate code and system architecture.

  • Manage hardware, software, and network needs for a distributed team.

  • Maintain a strong, collaborative, and results-driven team culture.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering with customer-facing, scalable products.

  • Proven success in a CTO or similar leadership role within SaaS or healthcare tech.

  • Strong understanding of hospital supply chain, spend management, and benchmarking platforms.

  • Experience leading distributed technical teams and managing infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated expertise in AI integration and big data analytics.

  • Experience with GPO environments is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.

  • Must be highly hands-on with technical systems, databases, and architecture.

  • Strong leadership and performance management capabilities.
