Job description

Position Title: Technology Trainer

Location: San Antonio, TX

Engagement Type: Temporary / Contract

Work Mode: Instructor-led, virtual, hands-on, departmental, and one-on-one

Duration:  6 months, with extensions as needed.

Role Overview

The Technology Trainer supports digital transformation initiatives by delivering practical, engaging training for Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Copilot, and enterprise business technologies. This role facilitates the organizational transition from Cisco Webex to Microsoft Teams, drives Microsoft Copilot adoption, and fulfills ad hoc departmental training requests across technical, administrative, operational, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led and virtual training to support the organization-wide migration from Cisco Webex to Microsoft Teams.

  • Provide end-user training on Microsoft Teams features, including chat, channels, calendar integration, meeting management, and file collaboration.

  • Facilitate Microsoft Copilot enablement sessions covering effective prompting techniques, AI validation, and practical work applications.

  • Create quick-reference guides, FAQs, job aids, prompt examples, facilitator guides, and reusable learning materials.

  • Respond to ad hoc department training requests for business software, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power BI, Salesforce, and other enterprise applications.

  • Assist with mandatory compliance training programs, including cybersecurity awareness, state-required AI training, and data privacy training.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness using surveys and feedback metrics to identify user adoption barriers and improvement opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering technology training to adult learners (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Proven experience facilitating virtual, hands-on, and instructor-led training sessions.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language.

  • Proficiency in creating user documentation, training guides, job aids, and presentation materials.

  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented approach.

  • Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience delivering user training on Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, or enterprise collaboration tools.

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot or AI-assisted productivity applications.

  • Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and technology adoption strategies.

  • Experience supporting organizational change management and software rollout programs in large organizations.

  • Delivery formats include virtual, instructor-led, hands-on, departmental workshops, and individual coaching.

  • Key deliverables include training sessions, job aids, reference materials, session recordings, and engagement summary reports.
