What is a Technology Summer internship?

A Technology Summer internship is a short-term work experience, usually during the summer months, designed for students or recent graduates interested in technology fields. Interns work on real projects alongside professionals, gaining hands-on experience in areas such as software development, IT support, cybersecurity, or data analysis. These internships help participants build technical and professional skills, expand their networks, and often serve as a pathway to full-time employment within the technology industry.

What types of projects or tasks can I expect to work on during a Technology Summer internship?

During a Technology Summer internship, you can typically expect to work on a variety of hands-on projects, such as software development, quality assurance testing, data analysis, or technical support tasks. Interns often collaborate closely with full-time engineers or IT professionals, contributing to ongoing team projects or developing solutions to real business problems. The environment is usually fast-paced, and you may have opportunities to participate in team meetings, present your work, and receive mentorship. This experience is designed to help you build practical skills, expand your professional network, and gain a better understanding of potential technology career paths.

Strong communication, eagerness to learn, and teamwork are standout soft skills in this role. These abilities enable interns to contribute effectively, adapt quickly, and gain valuable experience in a dynamic technology environment.

Job description

We are seeking a Manager of Architecture to lead and evolve our architecture practice across business applications, technology platforms, and non-functional architecture domains (security, performance, scalability, etc.).

In this strategic and hands-on leadership role, you will guide your team to define architectural standards, guide solution design, and ensure alignment between business priorities and technology investments. You will work closely with business leaders, product teams, and IT across a complex manufacturing ecosystem, driving modernization and digital transformation at scale.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Architecture Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of enterprise and solution architects.

  • Define and evolve enterprise architecture standards, principles, and governance.

  • Drive consistency across business applications, integration patterns, and platform services.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior IT and business leadership.

Business Applications Architecture
  • Oversee architecture for core enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, ecom, Data and Analytics, supply chain, finance).

  • Ensure business capabilities are translated into scalable and maintainable technology solutions.

  • Drive domain-driven architecture across Sales and corporate functions.

  • Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to align roadmaps with enterprise strategy.

Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs)
  • Ensure NFRs are embedded into all solution designs and lifecycle processes.

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams.

Governance & Delivery Enablement
  • Lead architecture reviews and design authorities.

  • Ensure compliance with architectural standards while enabling delivery agility.

  • Balance long-term architecture vision with short-term delivery pressures.

  • Develop reusable architecture patterns, blueprints, and reference models.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

Experience
  • 10+ years in IT, with at least 5 years in architecture roles (enterprise, solution, or domain).

  • Proven experience in Retail and sales (highly preferred).

  • Strong background across enterprise applications, integration, and platforms.

  • Experience leading teams and influencing across large, matrixed organizations.

Technical Expertise
  • Deep understanding of:

    • Enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, Sales and Analytics ecosystems)

    • Integration (APIs, middleware, event streaming)

    • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

    • Data architecture and analytics platforms

  • Strong grasp of non-functional architecture disciplines (security, performance, scalability).

Leadership & Soft Skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into technology direction.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management at executive level.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Pragmatic decision-maker balancing innovation with operational stability.
