Job description

DESCRIPTION Dental Tech Assistant (3218): Person who assists the dentist, dental surgeon or dental hygienist in the performance of their duties in clinics or during examinations or surgical procedures. The person takes care of the preparation, general maintenance, storage and, if applicable, the sterilization of the required equipment and supplies. The person will also complete files, medical records and take care of inventory management.

Pharmacy Tech Assistant (3212): Person who, under the responsibility of a pharmacist or a designated person, is mainly responsible for assisting the latter in preparation of pharmaceutical products such as solutions, ointments and syrups. She/he packages and labels products, serves users at the counter, maintains inventories and may create and update user records. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS Dental Tech Assistant (3218): • Assist the dentist, dental surgeon, or dental hygienist during examinations and procedures • Maintain a clean and organized clinical workspace throughout procedures • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment according to protocols • Maintain compliance with clinic hygiene standards • Restock treatment rooms and storage areas as needed • Performs other related duties as assigned by management, Pharmacy Tech Assistant (3212): • Knowledge of internal systems; • Ability in pharmaceutical calculations; • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; • Excellent communication skills; • Autonomous, good judgment and discretion are requested; • Must have computer skills.

Pharmacy Tech Assistant (3212): Education: • High school diploma.

• Must successfully complete the internal Pharmacy Tech Assistant math test. Knowledge and skills: • Good knowledge of conventional clerical work; • Strong organizational skills • Good knowledge of computer applications (ex: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); • Team player; • Autonomous, flexible, and discreet; • Able to work under pressure, independently, with very little supervision; • Responsible, attentive, self-motivated; • Pragmatic, detail-oriented, analytical, proactive; • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken); • Customer service-oriented; • Knowledge of the MSSS network and administrative rules (an asset). LANGUAGES • Fluent in English • Fluency in Cree and French is an asset.
