Job Title: Tech Services Assistant Manager

Location: Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, NE

Department: Operations

Reports To: Tech Services Manager

FLSA Status: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt

Summary Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Tech Services Assistant Manager at Legends Global / Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Tech Services Assistant Manager supports the Tech Services Manager in overseeing all IT and AV operations at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Pinewood Bowl Theater. As a Tech Services Assistant Manager, you will be ‘hands on’ working in an IT and AV environment like few others. This is a challenging and fast-paced Industry where no two days are the same. You will be exposed to a unique blend of the IT and AV worlds, along with enjoying a variety of concerts, sporting, and miscellaneous events.

Essential Duties

You will be actively involved with every technological product within the arena, which includes the following.

  • Assist the Tech Services Manager with scheduling and training staff
  • Maintain, repair, and inventory all network equipment including PCs & laptops, peripherals, servers, switches.
  • Provide help desk support for Windows OS versions, Office 365, and a variety of other venue specific software.
  • Work in Window Server 2016-2025 Management and VMware/HyperV Virtual Servers.
  • Update and maintain Allo VoIP Phone Systems.
  • Help maintain parking garage systems, such as Amano McGann One Work with Avigilon Security Camera System and Acre Access Control.
  • Work with IPTV solutions, such as VITEC; with 250+ set-top-boxes/TVs.
  • Work with Network Device Interfaces (NDIs) and PTZ Robo Cams.
  • Work with Samsung LED Video Wall software/hardware (MAGICINFO).
  • Work with the PBA Wi-Fi Network. (600+ AP’s, software/hardware).
  • Work with scoreboard/ribbon board/Daktronics software/hardware.
  • Work with Musco Sports, Lutron, and Douglas Lighting, and Sound software/hardware, along with the AV vendors/contractors as needed.
  • Work with Allen and Health mixers and digital audio environments, such as DANTE.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Work with clients, contractors, and other departments on tasks and projects.
  • Maintain a growth mindset and a “do whatever it takes” attitude.
  • Lead by example and encourage others along the way.
  • Assist and troubleshoot any other items related to IT and AV as they arise, including sound and lights.
Skills Required
  • Demonstrable proper knowledge and technique in the use and maintenance of desktop and laptop computers.
  • Demonstrable proper knowledge and technique in the use of Microsoft Windows Software, Microsoft Office Products, Basic Routing and Networking (Extreme/Cisco), Basic Server Maintenance and Cabling.
  • Extreme Managed Switch Programming a plus.
  • Palo Alto Firewall experience a plus.
  • Ability to learn and work the audio-visual sides of PBA, particularly all things basketball, including scoreboards, ribbon boards, basketball equipment such as OES score controllers, shot clocks, scorer’s table and media table components.
  • Demonstrable proper knowledge and use of all procedures, techniques, machines, materials, equipment, and tools used in technical construction and maintenance.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in industry terminology, event-related services, facility capabilities and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility.
  • Possess an understanding of facility’s electrical, mechanical, and other systems.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Meet physical demands of job, which entail climbing, lifting, and carrying.
  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Assist the Tech Services Manager with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources department; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university/or Equivalent Certifications and two years related experience and/or training – or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
