Job description

Two Six Technologies is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of core enterprise information technology initiatives. In this role, you will lead a diverse portfolio of high-impact IT efforts. While a primary, near-term focus of this position will be steering our Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) alignment, you will also manage other critical upcoming enterprise initiatives, including corporate IT compliance audits, large-scale mobile device management (MDM) implementations, and cross-functional infrastructure upgrades.

This role requires a unique combination of technical compliance understanding, exceptional cross-functional leadership, and change-management expertise. Because these initiatives directly impact workflows across the entire organization, the ideal candidate must excel at navigating complex organizational structures, aligning diverse stakeholder groups, and driving cultural buy-in for rigorous standards and practices.

The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, precise technical documentation skills, and the agility to manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously while balancing complex security constraints and operational uptime.

This is a hybrid position working from our Arlington, VA office.

What You Will Do
  • Portfolio & Project Management: Lead and coordinate concurrent enterprise IT initiatives from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with corporate milestones.

  • Compliance Leadership: Drive the project lifecycles for near-term major compliance frameworks, currently focusing on CMMC 2.0 readiness, evidence collection, milestone tracking, and technical remediation tasks.

  • Stakeholder Alignment & Buy-In: Serve as the central advocate and change agent for initiatives. Successfully navigate challenging topics, build consensus among competing priorities, and secure active buy-in from leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Audit Execution: Partner closely with Corporate Security and IT leadership to manage readiness and execution for upcoming technical and enterprise IT audits.

  • Enterprise Deployments: Manage the end-to-end rollout of critical internal infrastructure projects, including enterprise mobile implementations (MDM/MAM solutions) to support secure corporate and BYOD capabilities.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate across business sectors, technical teams (DevOps, Systems Engineering, Security), and executive leadership to align expectations, define resource requirements, and mitigate project risks.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain transparent project tracking dashboards, milestones, and mitigation plans in Jira/Confluence. Deliver consistent progress metrics.

What You Will Need
  • 7+ years of dedicated IT Project Management experience within a high-growth technology environment or the federal government contracting landscape

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or additional equivalent practical experience

  • Experience navigating technical compliance frameworks (such as CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, SOC 2, or FedRAMP), with the ability to turn complex compliance controls into actionable project plans

  • Proven experience managing enterprise-wide software deployments, infrastructure upgrades, or identity/device management implementations (e.g., MDM, VDI, Okta/IAM integration)

  • Demonstrated track record of leading high-impact initiatives that require organizational change management, with a proven ability to influence without authority and gain buy-in for challenging topic

  • Advanced proficiency with standard agile project tracking suites (such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent ITSM platforms)

 What we would like
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) designation

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is a strong plus

  • Prior hands-on experience managing a CMMC readiness/certification project (or highly comparable frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171, SOC 2 Type 2, or ISO 27001) is strongly preferred
