The IT Portfolio Analyst plays a key role in enabling Crescent's technology strategy by providing portfolio-level visibility, financial discipline, and decision support across IT initiatives. This role partners closely with IT leaders, business stakeholders, Finance & Accounting to ensure technology investments are aligned with corporate priorities, delivered efficiently, and managed with transparency.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at the intersection of technology, finance, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and analyze the IT project and application portfolio, ensuring alignment with Crescent's strategic objectives and business priorities
  • Track and report on IT spend, forecasts, budgets, and variances in partnership with Finance
  • Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level reporting to support informed decision-making
  • Support intake, prioritization, and governance processes for IT initiatives, including business case analysis and benefits tracking
  • Monitor project and portfolio health, identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization
  • Assist with resource planning and capacity analysis across IT teams
  • Ensure portfolio data integrity across systems and reporting tools
  • Support continuous improvement of portfolio management processes, tools, and standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business, Engineering, or commensurate experience
  • 3+ years of experience in IT portfolio management, PMO, financial analysis, or a related analytical role
  • Strong understanding of project and portfolio management concepts
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency with portfolio management tools, spreadsheets, and data visualization/reporting platforms such as Excel and PowerBI
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in energy, upstream oil & gas, or capital-intensive industries
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments
  • Experience supporting executive or senior leadership reporting
