Job description

Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, a Warehouse Operations Associate is responsible for completing processing and material handling duties to ensure the smooth flow and efficient processing of products within the warehouse facility. The Warehouse Operations Associate position requires high attention to detail and the ability to operate technology such as barcode scanners, digital scales, software applications, and touch screen computers and the ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures specific to this position. The position may also be assigned to participate in witnessing the destruction of regulated materials.
Primary Accountabilities:

  • Be flexible in handling various tasks within the warehouse, including cross-training in different roles, and adapt to changing priorities to support an efficient workflow. Capture product codes (bar codes) or relevant information accurately and efficiently using scanning equipment for input into computerized systems.
  • For pharmaceutical products, visually identify, verify key product information, count, measure, or weigh items, and enter information into computerized systems.
  • Sort scanned product items into designated container locations.
  • Inspect product conditions and prepare for disposition according to client contract terms.
  • Visually match/identify the RA on the outside of the envelope/box to the paperwork inside.
  • Confirm the correct products in the box compared to the RA provided during the delivery process.
  • Follow instructions for handling discrepancies, prepare paperwork for scanning, and enter additional information as prompted.
  • Place processed items into a tote, and prepare a placard with RA and tote barcode for the scanning process.
  • After the scanning process, add totes to a pallet, label the pallet for storage, and move pallets as directed.
  • Stock empty totes at scanning lines, remove trash from the scanning area and operate a forklift if certified.
  • Lift and move boxes to/from scanning lines, and open boxes/containers of returned/recalled items with a box cutter.
  • If forklift certified, operate a forklift for movement of order/products on the processing floor, if assigned
  • Ensure proper care of equipment, report any issues promptly, and maintain effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and work area, meeting daily production goals with a high standard of accuracy.
  • Follow all safety procedures and always make safety for yourself and your co-workers a top priority.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. required
  • High School (or its equivalent) or a minimum of two years of warehouse/production experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training. required
  • Previous experience in material handling and processing within a warehouse environment preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to assist with any operations within the warehouse.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment and under time pressure.
  • Willingness to work more than 8 hours per day (overtime) as needed.
  • Capable of handling hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines, with familiarity in warehouse safety procedures.

$17.77

Incremental pay increase are provided at 3 months and 12 months of employment. This is a non-exempt, hourly role eligible for overtime in accordance with federal and state laws.

In addition to base hourly pay, eligible employees in this role may receive:

  • Safety bonuses based on meeting defined performance and compliance requirements.

  • Shift differentials, where applicable(e.g. for evening or late shifts)
