Job Description: Unloading Test and Operations Associate
Location: Austin, TX

  • We're looking for an Unloading Operations Associate to support our testing and operations teams by handling physical setup, material movement, and day-to-day operational tasks that keep testing running smoothly.
  • This role is ideal for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable with hands-on work in a warehouse and lab environment.
Role Overview
  • This is a hands-on test and operations support role focused primarily on box assembly, material handling, and test setup. You will work closely with engineers and test leads by preparing test materials, assisting during robot unloading tests, and supporting general logistics between our Austin lab and warehouse.
  • This role does not require independent robot operation or advanced technical troubleshooting. Instead, it is designed to support testing efficiency by ensuring materials and environments are prepared correctly and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
Box Assembly & Test Preparation (≈30%)
  • Assemble cardboard boxes according to written instructions.
  • Add internal weighting materials (e.g., bricks or books) as specified.
  • Stack and stage boxes for unloading tests in a consistent and repeatable manner.

Test Support & Material Handling (≈20%)
  • Assist during unloading tests by moving, palletizing, and clearing boxes as the robot unloads.
  • Follow directions from the test lead to support test flow and uptime.
  • Use a smartphone or tablet application to start/stop workflows and report basic status when required.

Logistics & Transportation Support (≈30%)
  • Drive a company vehicle to transport boxes, tools, and equipment between the North Austin lab and South Austin warehouse.
  • Load and unload equipment safely and securely.
  • Help maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas, vehicles, and workspaces.

General Operations Support (≈20%)
  • Provide hands-on assistance to the operations and engineering teams as needed.
  • Support a safe and organized work environment (5S / housekeeping).
  • Participate in safety briefings and follow established procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift 65 lbs repeatedly and remain on your feet for extended periods.
