Job description

IT Systems Specialist

Candidate-Facing Job Description

Team: IT & Security

Reports to: CISO / IT Manager

Works closely with: Systems Administrator

Location: Onsite - Utah

Employment: Full-time

Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 base, DOE

ABOUT THE ROLE

Brevium is seeking an IT Systems Specialist to support the day-to-day technology operations of a healthcare SaaS company. This role combines employee technology support, identity and endpoint administration, hardware lifecycle work, documentation, and first-pass security and systems support.

This is not a ticket-queue-only position. Work is organized around operational responsibilities, business needs, and documented processes. Because Brevium operates in a regulated healthcare environment, technical work must be secure, documented, auditable, and performed with care for production stability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support employees with issues involving Windows devices, approved applications, accounts, access, connectivity, and common office technology.
  • Manage user and device lifecycle work, including onboarding, account changes, licenses, permissions, hardware assignment, offboarding, inventory, and secure disposal.
  • Perform routine administration and support across Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Active Directory, Intune, Autopilot, endpoint compliance, updates, and software deployment.
  • Review routine security and operational alerts, gather evidence, follow documented response procedures, and escalate issues that require deeper systems, security, or engineering involvement.
  • Maintain procedures, troubleshooting notes, change records, inventories, and compliance evidence; identify recurring issues and improve practical processes over time.

DAY-ONE READINESS

To ramp quickly, candidates should already be comfortable with the core tools and practices used in a Microsoft-centered business environment:

  • Two or more years of professional IT experience supporting users, endpoints, or business systems.
  • Strong Windows endpoint troubleshooting, hardware support, application support, and business-user communication.
  • Practical Microsoft 365 and identity administration: users, groups, licenses, permissions, authentication, MFA, and access troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of endpoint management concepts: device enrollment, software deployment, operating-system updates, compliance, and hardware lifecycle tracking.
  • Basic network troubleshooting across DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN or remote connectivity, routing, firewalls, and common connectivity issues.
  • Strong documentation habits and the ability to work within secure, documented, auditable processes.

STRONGLY PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience with Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft 365, Conditional Access, Windows Server, or PowerShell will help a candidate become productive faster. Experience with endpoint security tooling or regulated environments such as healthcare, HITRUST, HIPAA, or SOC 2 is also valuable.

GROWTH AND EXPOSURE

As proficiency grows, the role may assist with AWS, SQL Server, Linux, automation, DevOps tooling, backup validation, and disaster-recovery work. We do not expect expertise in every system on day one; we do expect sound troubleshooting, documentation, security judgment, and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems.

WORK ARRANGEMENT AND BENEFITS

  • Monday through Friday, 8-5, onsite in Utah, with occasional scheduled after-hours maintenance or urgent support.
  • Employment is subject to Brevium standard security, confidentiality, and background-check requirements.
  • Brevium offers full-time employees a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, long-term disability, 401(k) with employer match, paid holidays, parental leave, short-term disability leave, and approved education or certification reimbursement.

Equal opportunity: Brevium is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, capabilities, and job performance without discrimination based on any characteristic protected by applicable law.
