The Role

 The Physician Licensing Specialist (PLS) is responsible for completing the licensing processes for physician radiologists of Real Radiology. The PLS ensures that state medical licenses are submitted appropriately and checks the status of license applications for assigned states. This position is full time and in the office during regular business hours.

Job Functions

  • Obtain and complete state license applications for both initial and renewals as requested by Physician Licensing Ambassadors
  • Proof all applications and prepare for signatures from physician
  • Obtain fees from accounting to complete submissions
  • Request verifications to be sent directly back to states
  • Stay updated on State Board licensing requirements for assigned states
  • Develop relationships with key personnel at licensing boards
  • Communicate with State Boards to identify application deficiencies and submit corrections or determine expected timing of issuance
  • Document all actions in system to provide and maintain accurate information
  • Escalate issues to management 
  • Other tasks as assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 year’s licensing and/or credentialing experience
