Job description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education - bachelor's degree or associate degree in computer science, Management Information Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
Experience - Five (5) years of relevant work experience is required. Experience in a Healthcare environment is preferred. A combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the education qualifications stated above.
Licenses & Certification - Incumbent must be insurable and valid Oklahoma Driver's License is required. CompTia A+, Network +, Microsoft Certified Professional, and/or CCNA certifications are a plus.
Knowledge & Skills -
  1. Technical Skills: Systems analysis, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), network architecture, security protocols, and virtualization.
  2. Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.
  3. Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams, vendors, and clients.
  4. Project Management: Skills to manage projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  5. Adaptability: Ability to work with various technologies and adapt to new challenges and solutions.

JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent designs, builds, tests, and maintains complex systems, overseeing infrastructure from concept to deployment and managing ongoing performance and security. Key duties include system analysis, troubleshooting, installing and configuring software/hardware, ensuring system integration, managing security, and documenting system specifications.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in an office environment operating computers and other office equipment. Driving GSA vehicle to other facilities to perform duties is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work requires the demands of normal office work and the demands required to install, configure or perform maintenance on equipment and hardware. Incumbent must be able to lift objects of at least 50 pounds. Driving to other MCNDH facilities is required in the performance of duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Satisfactory job performance will be determined by successful execution of the following:
  1. System Oversight: Managing the daily operations of computer systems and ensuring they are efficient and secure.
  2. System Design and Development: Create and integrate complex systems, encompassing hardware, software, and networks to meet organizational goals.
  3. Technical Support: Troubleshooting issues, providing technical support to users, and serving as the primary point of contact for system-related problems.
  4. Implementation and Deployment: Install, configure, and deploy new technologies and infrastructure.
  5. Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and maintain system availability and reliability.
  6. Troubleshooting and Optimization: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve system efficiency and performance.
  7. Security and Backup: Develop and implement security standards and manage backup and redundancy strategies to protect systems and data.
  8. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system design, installation, and specifications.
  9. Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.
  10. Regular attendance is required.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
