WCC is actively hiring part-time instructors for the Winter 2026 semester to teach HVAC/R Department - Construction credit courses. Additional needs may become available prior to or during future semesters. Upon successful submission of your application, resume, and transcripts, you will be considered for teaching opportunities on a per-course basis for the following Construction Technology (CON) course prefixes in our Construction Technology (CON) course prefixes:
- CON 108: Introduction to Construction Technology
- CON 104: Construction Framing I
- CON 105: Construction Framing II
- CMG 130: Construction Site Safety and OSHA Regulations
- CMG 180: Application of Construction Materials
- CON 235: Construction - Building Codes and Prints
- CON 204: Construction Finishes - Interior
- CON 205: Construction Finishes - Exterior
- CON 255: Construction Concrete and Masonry
- CMG 225: Construction Builders License (Requires a Builder's License)

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain environment conducive to student learning.
- Prepare for and instruct assigned course(s) through the use of appropriate learning experiences and materials which provide the opportunity to meet overall course objectives and program goals.
- Adhere to course syllabus and comply with Assessment of Student Academic Achievement.
- Evaluate student progress through day-to-day evaluation, written examinations and overall observation.
- Grade assignments in a meaningful way to promote continued student growth, returning graded assignments to students in a timely manner, and assigning final grades for all students, meeting or beating all institutional deadlines for completion.
- Actively support student success through guidance, advising and assisting individual students as needed.
- Participate in professional activities including, but not limited to, curriculum planning, examination development, textbook selection, program evaluation/revision and other professional planning activities.
- Participate in the Student Opinion Questionnaire (SOQ) process.
- Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Earned bachelor's degree or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field along with 5 years of industry experience. OR Earned Associate Degree Earned bachelor's degree or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field along with 7 years of industry experience.
- Willingness to teach face-to-face, virtual, or online according to departmental needs. Most courses are face-to-face.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant Industry Certifications, such as OSHA certification, LEED, Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), Builder's License or certifications from construction-related professional organizations
- Prior experience in teaching and/or training.
- Available to teach either day and evening courses.
- Available to teach Saturday courses.
