Job description

The Network Design and Deployment Team (NIDD) team oversees the design and deployment of cable infrastructure within ADC regions. This includes milestone review, comment issuance, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency. NIDD planning also assesses partner team designs to ensure compliance with AWS and customer requirements, focusing on cabling pathways, sizing, location, type, classification, and installation.

The team provides telecom room designs, including sizing and power for various rooms, as well as user-outlet designs. The role involves coordinating meetings with partner teams to clarify ownership for delivering connectivity, working with multiple design/construction teams from pre-permit to hand-off to operations.
The AWS Network Design and Deployment Team (NIDD) team is searching for a passionate and talented Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to drive Data Center and Network Capacity planning in N. America

You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability.

You will work with teams across the ADC Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Key job responsibilities
- Monitor the network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate
- Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to define requirements and processes
- Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs needed
- Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis
- End to end responsibility for the program's execution and success
- Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously
- Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions
- Keep the customer experience as the primary focus
- Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role

TIPM for the Capacity Delivery Team manage a portfolio of network capacity delivery projects to support rapid ADC expansion. As a TIPM you will resolve issues, escalate blockers and report project status to upper level managers.
