Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in workforce consulting focus on providing consulting services related to human resources, talent management, and organisational development. They analyse client needs, develop people and organisation strategies. These individuals offer guidance and support to help clients optimise their workforce, enhance employee engagement, and drive organisational effectiveness.
In HR transformation and technology at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services related to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the HR function and related technologies within organisations. You will work closely with clients to assess HR processes, policies, and systems, and provide guidance on HR transformation, technology implementation, and service delivery models. Your work will involve assisting clients in optimising their HR function to align with business objectives and enhance HR service quality.

Develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing.
Use reflection to develop self awareness, enhance strengths and address development areas.
Interpret data to inform insights and recommendations.
Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC tax and audit guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
The Opportunity
As part of PwC's Workforce Consulting practice, you will be embedded on implementation engagements as a core delivery team member with direct client exposure across the full project lifecycle. You will work alongside client HR and payroll teams from discovery through cutover, helping them configure, validate, and operationalize their HRIS to support their payroll and HR service delivery goals. This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who can drive workstreams independently, communicate with confidence at the client level, and hold their ground on process and compliance decisions.
Responsibilities
Lead assigned implementation workstreams across discovery, design, configuration, testing, and cutover phases
Facilitate client working sessions to gather requirements, validate configuration decisions, and resolve open items
Document current-state payroll processes and translate them into configuration requirements
Support data migration activities including data mapping, validation, and parallel processing
Conduct and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), track defects, and drive resolution with client teams
Advise clients on payroll compliance requirements, pay rules, and leading practices as they relate to system design
Prepare and deliver client-facing status updates, issue logs, and workstream documentation
Mentor junior team members on implementation methodology and client engagement standards
What You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 years of experience
What Sets You Apart
Hands-on implementation experience with enterprise payroll platforms (Workday, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG Pro, Ceridian Dayforce, ADP, Paycom, or similar)
End-to-end payroll implementation experience, including requirements, configuration, testing, and go-live
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification
Experience managing payroll for multi-jurisdictional or international employee populations
Ability to run client-facing meetings and manage stakeholder expectations without senior oversight
