Job description

Hearth and Home Technologies (HHT) is looking for a Technology Project Manager to join our team in Lake City or Lakeville, MN. We are the nation’s leading Manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves and accessories. Headquartered, in Lakeville, Minnesota with distribution around the world, our innovative culture is supported by a business unit structure that allows us to develop and market products with a strong focus on customer’s needs. Since 1996 we’ve been dedicated to connecting people through the warmth and comfort of our hearth products.
The Technology Project Manager will work collaboratively with others to align technology solutions to business needs delivering projects on time and budget. The role reports to the IT Director and will be a key member to help design and implement projects related to digital automation including large - scale supply chain software solutions such as MES, WMS, CMMS etc. in our multi-site distribution network.
Responsibilities
  • Lead workshops related to business vision & strategy, acting as a technology solutions consultant across broad operations functions.
  • Prepare our regional distribution network for key company initiatives around WMS implementation and adoption.
  • Drive efficiency in distribution to offset existing labor shortages and increase capacity.
  • Research, scope, and implement digital technology for training new members, tracking skill sets / knowledge, and reskilling existing members.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support project execution at our four distribution center locations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of formal project management practice, including executing software and hardware projects across multiple sites.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment.
  • Experience/Knowledge in Continuous Improvement tools (preferred)
    Education
    • Engineering, Technology, Computer Science degree or related field and 7+ years of experience (Or equivalent combination of education and experience).
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Engineer, and 5 years as a Project Manager handling large capital projects across multiple sites related to technology development, design, and implementation.
