Seeking a Managing Director, Technology to join our team. This role will work across our clients product portfolio, with accountability for the development of world-class products for our customers. This person will run the Technology pillar in the product organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Merging of engineering teams, skills, experience, and cultures across our clients product portfolio
  • Delivering modernization activities in the tech stack in line with the overall strategy, including large enterprise applications to SaaS-based deployments, breaking apart a monolith, advancement of development ecosystems, and being an enabler for the move to Cloud First strategies.
  • Driving technology conversations and decisions with key stakeholders at the executive level.
  • Onboarding new companies/teams as required via mergers/acquisition
  • Determine the design of the Technology organization, strengths and weaknesses, and how to strengthen the team to meet their strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the continuous delivery of product features and enhancements that deliver on expected growth outcomes.
  • Direct the launch of new modules and releases, along with the cross-functional implementation of the plan; ensure all product build deliveries are on time and of the required quality.
  • Ensure that ways of working, and those of your teams, are consistent with the values and culture expected .

Requirements:

  • A background in software engineering.
  • Applied knowledge of agile delivery, ideally using multiple methodologies.
  • Previous track record of modernization of enterprise-level applications.
  • Proven experience of building, expanding and running large, globally distributed Engineering teams.
  • SaaS cloud knowledge, ideally in migrating products to cloud.
  • Experience of DevOps delivery into production environments
  • Experience in marketing functions or in branded product development.
  • Experience and awareness of governance, financial management and risk management.
  • Ability to be a constant force for improvement in the development and marketing of world class products.
