Business and Technology Development Manager

Overview
We're thrilled to share an exciting opportunity for a Business & Technology Development Manager to spearhead strategic growth initiatives in the fiber-optics and data-center market! In this role, you'll have the chance to build and nurture valuable relationships with customers and partners, drive new business opportunities, and shape the roadmap for high-performance fiber-optic products that will power the next generation of network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with data-center operators, system vendors, and transceiver manufacturers.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer technology roadmaps to uncover new product-development opportunities.
  • Drive strategic account plans and launch innovative fiber-optic connectivity solutions.
  • Act as a consultative partner by presenting tailored technical and commercial proposals.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define clear product requirements.
  • Manage multiple technology and application development programs from kickoff to delivery.
  • Represent US Conec at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums.
  • Analyze market trends and provide actionable insights to inform innovation and business strategy.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred).
  • Proven success in business development or strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of optical communications and the data-center ecosystem.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • Solid project-management, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (25% or more).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to Haves

  • Hands-on experience with fiber-optic cabling, connectors, and related hardware.
  • Familiarity with data-center infrastructure design and deployment.
  • Understanding of network architectures, including optical switching and interconnect technologies.
