The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for an IT Development Manager to join our Corporate IT team based in our Canton, MA; Boston, MA; Farmington, CT or Raleigh, NC offices on a hybrid schedule. The IT Development Manager is responsible for the support of company applications, technologies, and/or infrastructure across the organization, serving as a business and technical liaison between internal and external customers. Manages cross functional planning and project teams in the establishment, design and implementation of new or revised systems and programs. Manages direct reports, providing timely and insightful direction and coaching on roles, responsibilities, business strategy, and customer-driven culture expectations. Some of the IT Development Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provides leadership and oversight to direct reports and team by establishing goals, providing coaching and feedback, evaluating performance, and supporting development and training initiatives
  • Establishes and maintains strong business relationships with both senior and operating level business leaders across the organization, customers and vendors.
  • Be a thought partner to the team and business units, providing recommendations for improvement of business processes by leveraging existing IT capabilities and/or defining new strategic IT capabilities.
  • Acts as the point of contact for escalated department/team issues and facilitate the prioritization process.
  • Keeps abreast of new technology developments. Understand and maintain technology standards and guidelines
  • Manages and leads projects and project life cycle; accountable for identifying needs, securing commitments and monitoring progress of deliverables. Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met.
  • Responsible for communication of project progress with senior IT and business leadership.
  • Participate in key IT and assigned business unit governance, planning and initiative review teams, committees and meetings.

The expertise you bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 7 to 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience.
  • Requires 3+ years of prior management, supervisory or team leader experience.
  • An understanding of IT applications and technologies, including cloud architecture, Service-oriented Architecture, DevOps, GitHub and containerization.

Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires; however, your recruiter will provide more specific compensation details during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $134,000 - $178,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; our Massachusetts based offices and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $157,000 -$183,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include:
