DESCRIPTION SUMMARY


The Business Development Manager (BDM) will join Cemplex Group, a division of Compellier out of Oklahoma City, OK - a construction subcontractor serving primarily the multi-family housing and hospitality markets across the central and eastern United States.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying new prospects and securing product demonstrations through a dedicated, strategic, and focused outbound pursuit. The BDM will work closely as an apprentice to the Sales Representative and keep the sales funnel full of qualified prospects. BDM must be a high-energy, confident, and motivated sales professional with excellent communication and social skills. BDM should be a self-start willing to call on contractors and architects both at the office and at the project level. All engagement with prospects and customers will be documented clearly in CRM, and all future tasks and assignments will be logged in CRM as well. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Immerse yourself in our business and proactively seek out news and insights; become subject matter expert
  • Daily strategic effort to build pipeline with outbound cold calling, emailing, and using various tools we provide to support (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, ConstructConnect)
  • Schedule, prepare & execute detailed, meaningful presentations and product demonstrations
  • Build and deliver proposals, negotiate, and close new business
  • Identify customer prospects & projects through existing pipeline and new lead
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing small and mid-level customer base.
  • Manage and sell to low volume customers.
  • Develop Project Proposals and manage from Identification to Bid to Closing
  • Follow up on new accounts with company information and sales executive assignment/transition.
  • Cultivate relationships to transition to sales executive as volumes increase and support sales team by maintaining communication with hard-to-reach customers. 
  • Develop Pipeline (Data Analytics)
  • Research and read specifications and plans to determine products needed and accuracy of proposals.
  • Review estimates and establish product pricing using established guidance. 
  • Perform general customer service and administrative tasks required for the role and in support of sales executive and teams as necessary.
  • Collaborate across different channels within the business
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in any field ~OR~
  • Associate's degree in any field and 2 year of relevant sales/industry experience ~OR~
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 4 years of relevant sales/industry experience
  • Experience closing sales and achieving overall sales goals thru development and winning new business practices
  • Must be able to successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Check.
