Job description


Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE systems, has an opening at our Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, location for a Cybersecurity Analyst. The selected candidate will join our Development Team and have an important role in supporting the development mission of strategic deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. This position supports the NC3 directorate. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Support the Cyber Representative in the implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) as defined by AFI 17-101 and the DoW Program Manager's guidebook.
  • Assist in the drafting and technical documentation of RMF security controls
  • Perform initial reviews of system configuration settings to ensure alignment with established security baselines.
  • Develop detailed cybersecurity test plans and test procedures to verify the implementation of security controls.
  • Execute cyber verification protocols and conduct technical testing to validate that security requirements are met.
  • Document test results, identify failures or vulnerabilities during the T&E phase, and track remediation efforts to closure.
  • Assist in the development of the Security Assessment Report (SAR) by compiling test data and verification results.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and perform initial analysis of threats and vulnerabilities for assigned systems.
  • Support the Cyber Representative in developing Security Impact Analyses (SIA) by gathering technical data on proposed configuration changes.
  • Monitor system security posture and assist in the technical documentation of adverse events or security incidents.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between the engineering teams and the Cyber Representative to ensure security requirements are integrated into the system design.

Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Experience as an ISSO/ISSM
  • Experience with cybersecurity, risk, and control assessments
  • General understanding of computer networks, hardware, databases, applications, security components and systems engineering.
  • Understanding of the DoW environment and familiarity with the DoW acquisition system
  • Ability to mediate differing perspectives and develop consensus relating to cybersecurity principles and regulations.
  • Experience in Air Force test procedures
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Knowledge and experience working with the DoW's Cybersecuirty processes, DIACAP and/or the Rick Management Framework
